Aquabot offers different series of robotic pool cleaners for both residential and commercial applications. Many of them have been positively reviewed by customers and online publications for key features such as 4-wheels drive system, superior filtering power, and pressure-washing mechanism to loosen stubborn dirt on pool floor. One of the Aquabot’s latest products in the X4, designed to bring improvement over all previous models.
The Aquabot X4 still carries a number of same good-old features as other top-rated Aquabot robotic pool cleaners. It is able to filter up to 85 gallons per minute and take advantage of pool water by using it to pressure-wash the floor. There is also a rotating brush underneath the main unit to help loosen stubborn debris and get them ready for filtration. It also has AutoX Pool mapping technology to determine pool size and the best possible cleaning cycle accordingly.
The Aquabot X4 has two filter baskets with a maximum capacity of 190 cubic inches. Filtration medium screens any particle sized down to 2 microns to capture even the invisible debris in your pool, leaving clean fresh water free of chemicals. A full-bin indicator light is on the control panel. You can access the canister from the top of the unit, and clean it with a garden hose within seconds.
The Aquabot X4 consumes about 180W of power during operation, and it uses its own power supply for more efficient energy usage. Control panel is mounted on this power supply, with which you can configure several cleaning options including cleaning cycle, schedule and timer. Three cleaning cycles are available: 60 minutes, 90 minutes, and 120 minutes and the robot can automatically start working every 48 hours, 72 hours, or 96 hours.
The best thing about the Aquabot X4 is its mapping technology that measures not only the pool dimensions, but also analyzes any existing obstacle to plan for maneuvers. The system detects ladders or stairs so the robot can navigate throughout the pool without bumping into the same things repeatedly. A sturdy caddy cart is included for easier storage and transportation. Its 4-wheels drive system minimizes the risk of slipping regardless of the floor materials.
A major downside from the robot is actually the price. Customers realize that Aquabot also made similar yet less expensive models. The X4 surpasses those models only in terms of warranty, but the company sets much higher price tag for it. For more customer reviews, click here.
